The Gorilla Mk1 Robotic Puller is a remotely operated general purpose pulling robot for the energy sector. The Gorilla has an unparalleled pull-to-weight ratio and is the only product on the market that can overcome all midspan joints and line spacers. This product is compatible with both overhead ground wires (> 8mm) and transmission conductors (< 40mm).

The ultra-compact unit weighs only 20kg and can operate in traction mode (for pulling), and tension mode, replacing the need for additional braking devices. Forward and rear facing cameras give you footage of the line, whilst a down facing camera allow you to observe under crossings. A 2km line-of-sight range gives unprecedented operational capability. Being able to pull 280kg up a 30 °, the Gorilla h as been rated to tow line workers along the line to facilitate rescue operations enabling simpler and more cost-effective line trolleys to be utilized and helping to de-risk transmission operations.
